2000 hilux ifs axle seal

Hi, passenger side front diff axle seal looks to be leaking 2000 hilux, have removed cv etc unbolted it from flange, need to remove the axle assembley (circled in blue)... i see from this schematic there is a snap ring, does this need to be removed from inside the diff? ie unbolt the front diff cover to remove? (misson) or through the 4wd actuator housing or big slide hammer?
The seal i think i need to replace is circled in red.

So yeah.. drop diff oil. Remove 4wd actuator, remove snap ring and you're good to go..

remove whole side assembly from diff, don"t try to remove axle from inside tube
