KIWI 4x4 Teams Challenge

Hi All,

Kiwi 4x4 Teams event is on at Queens Birthday weekend again. This years is going to be the hardest yet, with most tracks taking an hour to complete and some where you will be pushing 1.5hrs! These tracks are insane and challenging and not for the faint hearted. If you want seat time, then this is the event for you, if not stick to trials. There are 14 tracks and we doubt if anyone will finish this time. The night stage is going to be fast and furious where the v8's will steal the show.

Entries are filling fast so get yours in before you miss out. Entries are capped at 14 teams. South Island teams free entry due to ferry costs.

Remember Three trucks per team, work as a team and you will take the trophy home.

Camping available onsite from Friday till Monday.

are spectators allowed? truck won't be going by then.
1996 vzn185 surf, TRD supercharger, GQ SAS, 37s, 3" lift, 2 lockers, double cabbed + more happening.

Every year without fail on queens birthday, it should really have been posted sooner so people don't go booking unbookable things on this most amzazing spectacular event :mrgreen:

What the event programme, is it Sat and Sun or Sun and Monday.

No physical prizes this year.

1st prize is $600
2nd $300
Can't remember what third is.

Hi,
Is there anyone with a reasonably setup truck with a good winch interested in joining team, 2 trucks so far from Hamilton, V8 Zuk with hydro winch, Lexus D/Cab Hilux Runva 2-UP winch, let me know PM if interested and go from there.

Hi, have emailed kiwi4x4nz to see if there are still places and to see what the vehicle rules are and the event requirements / format are but haven't had a reply.
Is it correct that each team is meant to provide a marshall. will they be stuck in one place or get to move around a bit.

Tried to enter last year, we didn't receive a reply. I'm keen to get there sooner or later but it's the South Island winch challenge series has started & a lot of people will be doing that.

So.....

Im not to sure what ive got myself into....

But ive been reliably told its going to be....

Fun :wink:

Cold :o

Possibly wet :?

But other than those later two my young coe and i should have a blast 8)

Will see you (or at least some of you) guys and girls there. :twisted:

We will be the softies dressed up trying to look warm :oops:

Don't remember seeing the entry last year, sorry if I missed it...

We run this every year on queens birthday weekend and are alays wanting a south island team to come up. Hopefully next year we will have a reminder up sooner than thus years one.

Hi Reece not from the South Island, Auckland. One of my team members sent emails but didn't get a reply. I'm heading to the SI for some of the rounds, but will be keen to enter a team for Kiwi challenge next year.

Good luck guys and girls
We can't make it this year so someone will have to take lots of photos
Hope you don't get the heavy frost like a few years ago
Try and find a camping spot that is not in a hollow
Take more beer than you think you need
The mud hole is deeper than it looks(and colder)
That's about all I can think of in the way of advice ( remember the beer)
