SJ413 diff swap to Vitara

can someone tell me whether a vitara diff will fit into a SJ413 axle? (excuse the poor terminology lol)

just looking into regearing options for my SJ,

The G16 vitara front diff will fit into the sj413 & samurai housing . From memeroy they are 22spline , so to fit to the rear of a SJ you need to change the side gears to 26spline .

Also the vitara Carrier is alloy and a lot weaker than the SJ steel carrier .

The best option is to use the vitara ring and pinion and rebuild them into the SJ steel carrier with the right side gears for front and rear

Some of the vitara diffs are 26 spline and so are a direct fit. But you'll just end up breaking the aluminium housing, so swapping the ring and pinion over is the go.
