2.8 3L Intake Question

Hey guys, i have an airbox and intake pipes from a 1kz. Im not 100 percent sure but it looks as though it will be a straight bolt in to swap out my 2.8 3L airbox and intake pipes.

I am asking as i noticed that the intake pipes are bigger than my 3L pipes. Will i gain any advantages for my truck from swapping these round?

Also, any other good mods to think about to either improve performance, even economy or reliability?

2.8 litre
3L engine code.

It always is a bit confusing.
