All the main bits done now just need to make a cover to keep fingers out the winch, and also so u can climb over in to the back seats.

Had a bit of soft plastic left over that I cable tied in to the winch hook to keep in in place in the fair lead. So u can open the back door with out moving the hook. Works mint

Found My new project. Built by a guy in Hamilton, but work and kids means he had no time to finish.

Full custom chassie, 5 link front and 4 link rear, hydro steer and mid mounted ld28 turbo.

Set up for dual wheels all round.

Heaps to finish but the major stuff is done to a very hi standard.

Latest upgrade after the woodhill mud pit run is water proofing the ARB pump. Made a cap to take the place of the old intake to plump it back to my air box.

Went on a club trip, my steering was real sloppy almost rolled out of lack of control and by the end the box was stuffed. So got me thinking, Hydro steer

This is all the hydro i got off my other project, was told the ram is from a tractor. last pic is my idea of a wheel alignment ha ha.

Finished it but the steering valve was not matched for this size ram so it was 8 turns lock to lock so almost impossible to use. but hay it was almost free. I was also using the SR20det pump so that wouldn't help ether.

The fix. got a Trail Gear orbital valve matched to my ram. And also a 1650 psi pump. Its mint now also it is self straightening. real nice control now and so easy to steer love it

Made a oil reservoir out of the stock can using a bit of 3 inch exhaust tube. Had a high power magnet to strapped to the side to grab any steel filings in the system.

Rear mount my radiator. Wanted to keep it nice and small and out the way. The first plan was slim 16 fan to suck it in and out but couldn't keep up, being cheap Chinese one

First trademe fan made lots of noise, no air really moved.
Second Derale fan 2 speed fan is crazy keeps it cool on slow speed.
U haven't done it right till u have done it at least twice ha ha

Made a steel box and a perspex lid for a cheap temp controller off TM. It has a sensor i cable tied to the top of the radiator. Set your temp and its away. 7 bux well spent.

Plumbing in radiator. used 1.5 inch galvanized exhaust tubing. Used my tube former to bend it up.

Now for the fun stuff. Rebuild and upgrade my 8274. My father law got me in to put 3 phase to his shed to set up his work shop with a vapor blaster so got him to blast the winch nice and shinny.

Ordered the air actuated free spool with extended drum.

tapped a pipe thread in the base for easy oil change with out taking out the bumper.

Also got upgraded friction material for the brake.

Welded on some tabs to help support the drum and stop it from twisting and help align the drum in the gear box.
10mm steel rod with aluminium tubing cover.

Built a extended fair lead. Bit budget but ran out of funds after all the shinny bits.

Now for the cherry on top the Storm twin top housing with over drive gears 40%

And a second warn xp motor. This crippled my finances but dam its cool.

Cabin control for front and rear winch.
Winch slowed down under heavy load so added 2 more battery's in the middle above rear winch.
