750 16 AT tyres wanted

anyone have any 750 16 all terrain tyres they don't want? or similar size.
my brother in-law is after some for his 1987 hilux. he has some old Firestone SAT but wants some all terrains. and he is in wellington but might look anywhere at right price.

Keep an eye out on tardme or the bookface marketplace for factory wheels n tyres off the landcruiser flatdecks.
A lot of folks are chucking massive wheels on so there must be lots of standard wheels lying around

Failing that I have a set of new hilux wheels n tyres. 225/70 R17 on factory steelies. Standard issue on the current base model hilux

I've checked TM a few times but no ATs.
I don't use FB but he might, I'll tell him.

235 85 16 tires should fit on a rim that fits a 750x16 , same size tire essentially just a bit wider

Should bolt straight on but they will have a more positive offset and essentially they are only a 29" tyre

I've mentioned the 235 85 to him but I think he wants 'the old style look' that the 750 16 have, and he hasn't replied about your's Skid so I'd say they probably wouldn't look old school enough either, and also I think 29" would be on the smaller size, he's wanting more 30"-31".

has he tried the local toyota dealer or a local tyre company's as they may have a trade in set, I git a set for my last wagon from bridgestone
