Pajero 2007 3 door 3.0 litre petrol auto - timing belt

Post by Korando29 »

What do others thinks with the first timing belt change - some say 90,000 or is 105,000km. Haven't the service manual at hand. And seen a cost of $2100.00 for extensive service quoted! What's rcommended at this mileage coming up? Currently sitting at 79,000km.Appreciate any feedback.

90000 is a major service with all the oils but I think $2100 is still a complete rip!! I’ll have a look in my service book today and see when the belt is recommended from factory.
SWB V6 Paj with one or two mods ;)

I am doing the transmission/oil & filter/fluids this Fri as i have just purchased and see the service sticker for 78,500k.

It is the timing belt i cannot quite figure as the vehicle is an import from new. Guess there may be some pulley bearings recommended to change too? I will purchase a servive manuel shortly - Miti's dealer wanted just over $100.00 but will source online.

Thanks for that. Just scanning through it - full of info. Need to spend more time looking at the finer detail. :)
