estimate cost of bearing replacement in an 80 series

A bit more info might prompt some useful information.

You mention bearing not bearings. So a single bearing? where on the truck? diff, transfer case, manual gearbox, wheel bearing......

Or I suspect you are referring to the standard 80 series big/main bearings replacement that nearly all 80 series owners dread and expect?

You after parts only or drive in/drive out?

I'm not being a smart arse, nor am I an owner of an 80. But thinking a bit of clarity might get the ones in the know to reply and you get info quicker.

Hi Phil,

Great points, Yes this is for the bearings in the motor that are recommended to be changed at 100k kms... looking at buying an 80 that has no service records, motor goes good no smoke etc but having a ball park drive in drive out idea on price might assist in my negotiation with him.

I could just start rining mechanics etc but hoping someone can say I did it or got it done and it was x y z etc.
