Hey Guys
Just done a big service on the old 24 volt warne winch on the saffy ,taken cable off and brought some amsteel to replace it with ,have just put back on truck and making sure it all worked ok ,which its does but was really suprised on power out how hot the drum gets ,,,,like really hot!! ,have googled it and seems to be an issue for the warne 8000 and 9000 older winches ,,,fine with cable but not so much with synthetic id say it would almost melt it ,,,tried another warne here i have as spare and its the same.
Anyone had the same issues?? ,thinking ill just go for a novawinch or runva now ?,hopefully can buy an unspooled one.
Any feedback appreciated
Sorry posted in toolshed as well thought it better here
