LN106 Hilux Build
Re: LN106 Hilux Build
Oh man, those photos make me wanna build one like the old white lux again!
Re: LN106 Hilux Build
Got one, well it's actually a howat locker which requires air to lock and unlock, it's also all set up with rear steer, I reckon your Hilux needs rear steer now.Petemcc wrote:

That last post was meant to be a video. Think it links to the vid if you click on it. I wrote another post before that but accidentally deleted it!
Have been doing a bit of WOF stuff. All the ball joints were flogged as the steering dampener was twisting the drag link. Have straightened it up a bit so will see how it goes now.
Also trimmed one of the guards for the 37s. Looking good now and not rubbing but I think I'll take off another 10mm for good measure and adding the rubber flare back on will take up a few mm.

Yes they do at full flex but only just and its smooth there so will just polish the body rather than hurt the tyres

Re: LN106 Hilux Build
went to Haast with a few from the shotover club on the weekend. Was a good weekend in the mud. Truck went well. Love the crawlers go great aired down, keen to give them a bit more of a work out on the rocks sometime. Alternator died which was a bit of a pain. Big had to turn around a few times to give me a winch after the battery started to die a bit.
Mounted some light bars last week haven't given them a good workout in the dark yet.
WOF runs out in a week. Might be time for some more maintenance. New rear axles and seals ready to go in. Fix alt and a few oil leaks.... then to mound the rear winch. more to come....
A few pics from the weekend. And link to the lot http://s958.photobucket.com/user/petemcc_2010/library/

Photos look good Pete,
It's good to see a few older wagons still being used. That's a decent chop b the wellside.

Re: LN106 Hilux Build
Something to do with permission on google photos. I can see them on my normal browser but im logged into google photos. Tried a different browser not logged in and could still see them. Weird. There are about 10 photos in the post from the 9th of may. I have just been editing that one trying to fix it. Might need some more googling!Smurf wrote:I could when I posted my response, now I can only see the first one same as youmudsurfv6 wrote:Can you see them?
