as far as I know the 3L wasn't turboed from factory and the dash doesn't have the turbo light in centre of rpm.

doesn't mention cert.

and car jam & motorweb say its a double cab ute. ??

So he is confusing a turbo with charger then, probably has 2.4 turbo mod.

Supercharger works well on a diesel, check out some of Bulletproofs videos of his supercharged 5L Hilux,
People have been dropping S/Cs into lux' et.s for a while now.

forced induction works well on diesels.
superchargers are not great for on road driving, but for off road use they can be great. heaps of grunt down low, no lag etc. belts can be a big issue. but overall performance wise they are not good. turbo's consistently out perform them.

for an onroad lovechild, i would have a turbo diesel over a supercharged diesel any day.

i would be checking that vehicle for a cert and why a wof hasn't failed him for the rather obvious supercharger.

That would be a good candidate for a LS1 transplant. Would end up cheaper on fuel than a 3fe motor which is a gutless p.o.s motor

It F---s me right off when people make a statement about a 3Fe motor being a gutless piece of shit, I agree about the consumption of fuel drunk ------ but I peddled a 3F and the only difference is the E has fuel injection and to make a point I did have a 3Fe that I was going to fit, ------ now my 3F (as any one from the CHCH group) would vouch for was no GP of S --- and in twelve years of abuse never let me down, and f--k did it sound good pulling 6grand with the BLUE SMOKE billowing out the back ---- and no the SMOKE wasn't because it was stuffed------- just how I got the name -------

Wekl my 3fe was gutless as fark. It was running an auto but after i had a heap of work done it still struggled to turn my 33 and died on 35s.

Thru a 400sbc into it. Well what more could a man want.....

Amyways im now in a vx80 with a 1fz.
MATE...... throw that 3fe over board straight out of mr toyotas factory 33s 35s 36s it would matter with this mill.
And shes auto to boot

Been in a mate fj40 with the 2f on love gas and manuel. That would eat my 3fe in torque and pulling.

So i stand by my original statement

My last 80 was a first gen with 3f carby manual
When going off road everybody I went with were keeping a eye on there temp gauge,I was keeping a eye on fuel gauge lol
In low range power was accepte but on road got bit painful to drive
Diesel turbo where it's at
