Update time..lol..
Things are moving along at a steady pace.. but there are lots to do..
After the radiator was moved.. had to move winch setup etc.. this has been a mammoth task but is almost complete except for electrics and air lines.. anyway pictures says a 1000 words so yea..

thats it at this stage.. only showing this to show what can be done etc on the back.. this is taken from a few guys i know and have had great success with this setup.. basic , fast , cost bugger all

Next is electric winch up front, then air tank on back then electrical sw's etc.. then good for a skid. Looking at hopefully finishing this by end april.. so we'll see

sorry for a dumb question but...
are you using a tranfer case in between the winch and the original pto output?

if so why? to speed it up? and if so to what ratio?

also dont worm and gear boxes dislike high speed? some thing along the lines of driving the worm through the gearbox end?

be keen to see how it goes

oh still got that end plate here as well, just been busy

Yep. Suzuki case to step up pto speed. 2:1 (basically).
Two trucks down here already do it (you've probably seen both. Leigh's orange double cab lux and Mike's red single cab lux. Both have raced up north). Doesn't seem like a bright idea on paper but seems to work ok in practice.

Had today off along easter break due to working Otago day so had a great long weekend.. and today I made up the mount, well extended the mounting plate for the electric winch.. worked out better than I expected.. Just need to get the fairlead and support panel sorted which wont be too bad either.. so going to work out great

Well bit of an update.. Lots have been done and will be put here when I get it completed.. hopefully in the next couple weeks.. So just a couple pics of some goodness I got today

Had mine about 6 years ratio is 4.5:1 flies and pulls like crap makes electric winches look like they are like a 200 year old rope block and tackle

hahaha.. now thats a good idea but someone else had dibs on those.. so came up with the next better thing.. all 4 of mine are the real deal but i did like the colour whe on my truck when i pinched them for NZ1 last year..lol so go figure ..

yea still got it its been parked for a number of years because of RL issues.. Also surgery etc.. looking at either getting it tidied up to have a go again or sell.. not sure what to do with it..lol
