Rebuilt one of the front manual hubs today, re-greased everything I could think of, including the swivel housings, tried to top up the rear diff but the filler plug has seized.
Then went out for a drive trying to get the kick down cable adjustsed correctly. I'm almost out of adjustment and its still not right. Anyone know the best way of shortening it? foot flat its still changing in the wrong places:
1st 48 needs to be 70
2nd 70 needs to be 100+
at present it drops to third when you put your foot flat at 80, really want it to goto 2nd...
Will have to do all this again when the 4.88's arrive... Have done about 50k's trying to get this right so far...

Do you keep the standard seatbelt for on road use ??
Where does the top of the harness anchor ??
Could ya maybee post a pic showing the back of the seat ??
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.

I have the back mounting down the back of the seat on the mounts for the sides.
I still have the standard belt for road, Bugger using the harness the whole time.

Quiet Saturday for me, bit of an unwind day.
Sunday was a different story!!!
Left CHCH at 9:00am to go to the Waimak Gorge area to a Black Powder shooting range.
Spent the first hour trying to get my Rifle going properly.
When I sorted it out it went well for the rest of the morning.
After a quick lunch test fired for the first time the most recent addition to the collection.
Actually one I got for my mother to use, (after I have finished restoring it)
I have included a link to a video I put together of the test firing.
Don’t click on the link if you are firearm sensitive!!
There is nothing scary in it, just a little black dot being shot at! (It was quite safe)

Left the range about 2:00pm and headed back through Oxford.
On the way through Oxford it was suggested we should check out Lees Valley, I hadn't been in there before so thought why not!
Didn't encounter anything difficult in there but it sure takes a long time to get through!!!
Finally got home at about 7pm
I did get a chance to take some pics of the small improvement in flex I have got from a couple of mods.
Not startling but better than it was, and I still have a few things to do.

doris was able to find the weak link in the washing line and proceeded to break it.. ( was rusted out really, but i still give her shit..
) bought a new bugger and put it up.. fixed lawnmower and did the lawns.. put up my hammock.. ahhhhh... bliss... also did a rubbish run to the dump, installed mates car stereo head unit...

i crused the meremere track on sat is not a biggie but its a good drive a lot of goats to be seen by the time u have reached the end this kid was so asleep he didnt wake up till i gave him a push with my foot

Only things goats are good for is kid gloves and, if you get a nice fat young nanny, roasting, with kumaras, spuds, peas and mint sauce!!!

Bosshogg and I were in the Waikato once, went to Pirongia cos there's deer there.
Saw zillions of goats, killed lots, worst thing was, there was NO UNDERGROWTH!! bloody vermin had eaten everything they could reach, no replacement trees coming up at all.
Hence my marked antipathy for them.
