Nice one Mr O - glad to see you've found a real truck to play with :D
Welcome to the wonderful world of LR ownership - luckily you've got Turoa near to keep you onj the path!!!!
Any probs or Q's just gimme a yell & I try & help out as best I can (used to have a reasonably mod'd 200tdi disco - same vintage)

Just to show a couple of the mods I did - Winch bar was fab'd out of a piece of 5mm steel plate folded to make a cradle & 5mm plate sides welded in place giving a good possie for front tow hooks, the "wire hole" was gas-axed out & fairlead bolted to front - original bumper cut & welded back on to each side of the cradle.

I got rid of the normal winch control & hard wired instead. The battery cut off switch stopped anybody f*cking with it. There was a simple in/out toggle switch on the grill, & inside I used the volume up & down buttons (i'd already replaced the stereo with a CD player so they were redundant anyway.
Rear tow hook - Bolted thru the chassis rail next to the fuel tank - prick of a place to drill :!: :!:
