your gunna have fun affording to run that one.

what with diffs andthat sort of breakage, and the price of gas.
on things for sure you won't just be able to lift it up and slip some "traction aids" under the tyres

have fun with that , I look foward to seeing it in action

Thats not fair, they are reasonably ecconomical offroad, and you can LPG them easily enough if you get the right info on how to run ignition etc without the injectors going

Early disco's like to break pins in the diff under load...which means they usually try to escape thru the diff housing, later ones are better.....James PM Cloggy as he is trialling a stronger pin which should fix the 2 he broke recently.....

I wonder how long it will remain "Shiny" ......You will be cursing it soon enough when sopmething breaks.....

If they go to all that trouble of sucking it out off the ground and refining it , then it's our obligation to use it :P

Good to see it's a manual, don't worry about breaking things - every make will eventually break something (haven't seen a perfect one yet!), if they don't then they're probably not going or getting as far as you.

thumbs up mrO

Admire any one esp a young person willing to throw their all into something they have a passion for.

Sure there will be issues and costs but that's part of the game. Every truck has its weak points and disadvantages, every one has it good points and advantages.

Even if you use it for a period and transfer to some thing else its all gone to experience and fun. I say the spice of life is to give a variety of things a spin. I've done all sorts as hobbies and enjoyed them all, small farming, beekeeping, classic car rebuilds, tractor projects, rental house projects, and many of these are still current and because of that I haven't thrown heaps of $ into a 4x4 and hence my truck is nowhere the beast that yours is but I have a ton of fun and learning with with it as it is.

Don't let them say bad things about your Landy james!! lets see how many of thiers will be still going after 30+ years!!

Your Disco is almost exactly the same underneath as a Rangie, and mine is a 1974 and still going strong. yes, I've broken diffs, but lots of other vehicles have too!! It will be much 'betterer' than the ZUk in many ways, although they too have thier pros!

Its a cool truck.....I still think you should still look arould for something to build up as a hard yakka/thrash/competition truck....the Landy will happily tow it....

Nice machine, interested to hear how the jungle treckers go, they were on my list of possible tyres a while ago, they look the part.

Looks like the truck is pretty well sorted, diff armour and the rest

Fuel economy - I dont think it will be any worse that my 3.0 pajero
