Isuzu MU soild axle swap - Day 4 - Progress at last!

Well, I spent an hour lying under the truck last night worrying about the strength of the front spring mount, and after much deliberation completely pulled it all apart again... in about an hour I totally undid 3 days work (sorry Tom :? )

I tried a couple of different methods of attachment, and finally came up with the one I used, which was turning the original crossmember I made and notching it to sit in front of the main crossmember instead of under it. The lift is similar (within 5mm) but it moves the axle forward another 15mm or so, resolving my transmission crossmember problem (AFTER I shelled out $150 to have it made :( )
