Out of a 110, Salisbury rear, std banjo front. But at least these are supposed to have the stronger CV's in them which is good start. But as the rear takes the brunt of the load most of the time that is where the immediate gain will be. Salisbury is a early version of a Dana 60 which are capable of handling some fairly serious power. You'd have to do something stupid to break one with a Rover V8. John M. in the club runs an injected 350 Chev and 35's in his LR without any problems running these diffs (front and rear) Aim now is to find another Salisbury diff so I can eventually convert the front too by cutting the banjo centre out and substituting it. Finding a genuine Salisbury LR front diff is like finding a needle in a haystack, they only came out on some high capacity 130's, and armoured or military vehicles. Then I can finally think about fitting the 35" Simex Centipedes gathering dust in my garage
Bruce mulhare runs dana 60's front and rear aswell.
Yup, will transfer the discs on the current set-up to new rear. Even toying with the idea of fitting an extra set of calipers I have got lying around while I am at it so we can run fiddle brakes.

I think it is going down the gurgler. Just not enough time and energy to devote to such a massive undertaking. Can use the good bits and pieces I have collected over the years on the Disco (the Series 1 was mostly using Range Rover / Disco running gear). And seeing the Disco's panel work is starting deteriorate quite rapidly at the moment (there isn't a single panel without a dent anymore) I might concentrate my efforts on the Disco and turn that into a sort of comfortable "tough truck".

At least you lot aren't Jehova's Witnesses or something.....you'd be knocking at our doors trying to save us from evil AND trying to covert us to Landroverism......

And I better not get converted to Landroverism on the way there and back either I guess triple strength ear plugs and nodding occasionally will fix that
