Hey guys/girls.
I've been looking for some tyres/rims for my zook escudo now for about 2 months. i just cant find any decent 2nd hand ones in chch. there always somewhere in the north island and i dont wana fork out hundreds for freight. Please is there anyone out there from chch who may have or know someone who has a set of whitespoke rims and tyres for sale which would fit my suzuki without a bodylift. Im wanting to spend about $700 - $800 !

does anyone know if they will fit without a body lift ?
It was not easy to go from 30" Kumho's to 31" Pirelli's on mine...
but it all depends on what size they actually are [not many 31's tyres measure 31" as silly as it sounds some are bigger (simex) but most are smaller, i've got some other 31's here which measure about 28.5" or something...] and the offset of the rim makes a difference too....
I have around a 60mm lift from coil spacers/springs (no body) and to clear the 31's i had to cut about an inch from around the guards (and they still rubbed), and push the firewall back a little bit, (i cut and welded it to make it look reasonable but a big hammer also works). To finally stop the rubbing i extended the bumpstops in the rear.
Also had to install flares all around as the tread sticks out from the edge of the guards. (and they rub a little on chassis at full lock). i also had a slightly bigger coil spacer in there to begin with and broke a cv first time out, so lowered the truck down a little. It will also futher raise your gearing, i have 8v carby model, and have NO power in 5th on highway, and for desents it is already too high stock so with bigger tyres it means even higher gearing (=bad) All this to gain an inch????
So all depends on what the actual size of the tyres is and and the offset of the rim (big offset = more rubbing on the front/firewall during turning, more damage to wheel bearings, wider track, but no rubbing on springs/chassis... small offset = rubbing on springs/suspension components, rubbing on chassis, less damage to bearings etc... so the best is a compromise between the two)
I think around a 30" is the best compromise between work and fun. Should be able to fit it with only a small spacer lift and few flattening of the seams

have a read of http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/viewforum.php?f=7 and do some searching round that site, there are heaps of people who have been there before...
there are also some cheaper options to lift your truck such as 180sx rear springs will lift it around 3" and some toyota corolla shocks will increase travel....

Pity you didn't want them in another month or so when i upgrade my tyres... gettin rid of the 30's (good as condition) in favour of 32's. Would just be sellin the tyres though and they are off 16" rims also
