Well done James, you'll enjoy the Disco. Much easier to drive off road than Zuki's. You won't need to attack hills at full speed. You will find it will idle up hills in low 3rd or 4th due to its much lower gearing and gruntier engine which had you grabbing low 1st in the Suzuki and reving the snot out of it.
And nothing, absolutely nothing, can beat that lovely V8 burble. There are very few things I enjoy more than being on a club trip and just rumbling along with the windows open listening to that V8 engine doing its job.
Around 2000rpm is all it needs to achieve most things, it makes maximum torque at just 1800rpm.
And as well as being very capable offroaders out of the box they also make very comfortable touring machines.
For the money they cost nowadays you'd be hard pressed to find a more capable, comfortable and versatile vehicle all in the same package and for the same price.
