Surf Fumes

Post by nzhunter »

Well with most of you with older diesel surfs I'm guessing you have the same problem as me. When I have the back window down and driving I seem to get alot of fumes coming inside. How could I make less fumes? Could I put the exhaust coming out the side half way between the back and wheel (like dbs) and would this actually make any difference?

This is how mine is now:

Im looking at incorporating the exhaust to come out the side of my rear protection bar (when I hurray up and make it) so the exhaust is protected as well.

Any help would be great,

Cheers,

it'll happen with any open back of truck type scenario.. :(

one thing ya could consider is having the exhaust point downwards more? urk i know cos of clearances, maybe put window up a bit and have a front window down a bit too to create a through current as opposed to a low pressure area at the rear suckin fumes up, back and into ya cab?

worth a nudge?

:)

Yeah down probably would be the best. I'll have a chat to the pit stop boys and get them to do it.
It's really for just these hot months (and it looks cool 8) ) hopefully by next summer itll be powered by a Supra 2.8 EFI DOHC 6 cylinder beast!!!!  (I just scored the bellhousing yay!)

Cheers guys
