Also some of our northern friends on here then have a bit of advance warning to they can organise themselves too in case some of them want to make a weekend out of it.

You can put my name down for that one cloggy,
might need a few of those big northern trucks to help extract my cruiser if its going to be muddy by then :?

Hmmm, what long weekends are coming up in two months???

That would be around May/June right? Not many long weekends in there :x

Looking at the pic's, would be keen as though..............

Wonder if i could get the 50 ready and throw it on the trailer

(could probably just park the 50 in the tray of Bens Cruiser and bring them down on one trailer   )

Hello Peter,
Looking through the pics of your 50 buildup, very early on there is a pic of it sitting on a trailer. Is that a Cemac trailer? Do you work for Cemac?

Good thinking Rex, thats heaps of time to get organised, and for a mish like that, ya need heaps of time to get shit sorted, its a bloody long way away........

Long weekend would be better to, we would either get more time in the mud, or not have to tax the A/L as hard.

KEEN AS!!!!!

Hey cloggy, you still gonna get some maps sorted for us? Marty (Sadam) had his GPS out there if that helps.

I used to work for Cemac quite a few haircuts ago. Back when Graeme Cromie used the own the whole joint and head office was here in Lower Hutt. Left Cemac around '89 but still work in the same field for a newly formed company, Audeo Group Ltd, born out of the merger of Precision Ltd and Optim Group Ltd. Cemac Hamilton is one of our clients now.

Queens Birthday is Monday 4 June. Rallywoods is available on that weekend. Are you guys keen? If you are I'll book it out for the weekend.

Yep, would like too. Wrote an email yesterday and sent it in via the Rallywood website thinking it would go to Vern or Jeff. But it went to the site adminstrator instead. But I just found Vern's email address on our CCVC website so I'll try again.
Was asking for permission to go in there and recce the place, walk the hazards and get accurate fixings on the GPS in order to map the whole site accurately. Would require quite a few weekends I reckon to get the majority of tracks, hazards and other points of interest mapped.
But once done it would be an asset to everybody who wants to go in there. In return for getting free access for mapmaking purposes I would make the map freely available on the Rallywoods website as well.

Marty,
Have you got GPX files of the weekend?
Would you mind sharing these? I failed to notice my GPS died early in the day on Sunday (heat stroke I think, I just shuts down), so haven't got much in the way of tracklogs.

Yes, he was saying he could get hold of a good aerial photograph. (better resolution than Google Earth and hopefully without the clouds in the way)
Is he on here, anyone know how to get hold of him? (Marty? You seem to know him?)

Most certainly John.
I believe in free stuff :D
When and if I get this done it will be available for anyone to download.
Have you see the NZ Open GPS project?
I am a moderator on that forum and together with a couple of other people look after the Greater Wellington area maps.
Again a free download of course and auto-routable to boot! :D
