We need to remember, whether we like it or not, this is a club focussed and owned event and series and not a public event. The competitors must belong to local clubs and they elect their executive committees and zone delegates who in turn are elected to the competition committee.

Anyone who doesn't like the resulting decisions overall is free, at and within their own clubs, to challenge those decisions via the accepted channels.

There are complaints and comments within this thread that in time might be proven to be valid and they will be dealt with, if anyone is still bothered by then, at National comittee level. Aside from one comment that the marshalls did not seem interested, there has been nothing raised here which is of any concern whatsoever to any person outside of the Association.

You might get some pleasure from the thought of airing dirty laundry in public and inviting all and sundry to join in but i doubt any involved and comitted member of any affiliated club does. I doubt they deserve it either. Consider the implications of making it even more difficult to get the regular club member to happily assist with these things?

Over and out.

Maybe you could use it as constructive criticism, rather than assuming its all club-comittee-bashing. I get no pleasure from the thought, as you have suggested, I am merely pointing out that you can't tell people that a 4WD event shouldn't get discussed here and expect us to all go, "ok".

Like it or not, this is NZ's main 4WD forum, with a huge membership; Club members, competitors, and spectators included (and the odd comittee member too by all appearances). This is where things will get discussed no matter how much you wish they didn't. At least the discussion will be (mostly) thought out, focused and the posters will generally be enthusiasts.

Rather than hiding your problems, accept the public discussion, maybe even join in with it... and use it to learn.

Oh, and I fully understand the fact that people don't want to volunteer for event marshal positions etc, but thats not our fault or theirs... I believe you have governmental regulations, OSH and lawyers to blame...

Over, but not out.
