I'm keen to have a look at a set mounted, and get some feedback on how good they are.
1989 LWB Isuzu Bighorn, Intercooled 4JB1T, Ball Joint flip, Torsion bar wind, 3 inch stainless homebuilt snorkel,1/2 done electric fan mod,front sway bar quick disconnects, 15x8 ROH White Spokes,33x12.5x15 Hankooks.

No one has chimed in here, so i will.

I can give you feedback on them, but im in auckland so seeing them would be hard....

They work bloody great! (and mine still aren't being used to their full potential)
However there were a lot of things that needed to be done to get them working. (I need at least 12" shocks to get them working to their full potential and that will require chopping the rear floor etc)

They look like they put massive twisting forces on the fronts of the springs and shackles.

i looked at putting these on mine a couple of years and the thing that put me off was as already stated, the amount of work to get them to work to their full potential, they are pretty cool though on the vehicles i have seen them on, and not that cheap.

I sw what De-ranged designed to combat that very twist. Cunning little bugger, what an engineer!! Talk nicely to him and he may send you a photo or nine of his solution to this problem.

I've never run them but I've noticed they have fallen out of favor with the Americans due to unstable body roll and wheel hop problems climbing rocks and hard uneven surfaces... its all cause by the drop piece as it folds out

If you look in superior's web site you'll notice the pics of the trucks showing them off are also using a track bar this would definitly help with the wheel hop issue coused by the suspension loading and unloading.... I looked at running them along with my front hinge setup but the unloading of the drop piece is the big issue when doing hard steep climbs, thats why I went with just a side hinged shackle.... still tempted to try a version just couse of the big drop you get with drop shackles 8)

I've also noticed they fall in the gray area in the cert rules, no direct commets either way :roll: (same deal as my hing setup 8) ) this means getting them certified will depend on the certifiers discretion :? why I made mine overkill :wink:
