IM NOT TOO SURE MATE, SEEMED OK TO ME  WAS'NT ANYTHING THAT WAS DIFFACULT AT ALL SO MAYBE THEY HAVE HAD A BULLY UP TE-AROHA SIDE...

AFTER OVER 200mm OF RAIN UP THERE DURING THE WEEK I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED IT TO BE A BIT DEEPER THAN WHAT IT WAS, THE TOP OF THE TRACK UP TO THE SUMMIT TRACK IS STILL THE SAME AS IT HAS ALLWAYS BEEN, ONLY GOOD TRUCKS(TOYOTA'S) CAN MAKE IT UP THERE  WAS GREAT FUN TOO, THERE WAS A BRIEF MOMENT WHEN THE CRUISER SLIPPED INTO THE BANK AND STALLED, HUGE LAUGHTER FROM THE GROUP,GOT THE BEAST RE STARTED AND BURIED IT,CLIMBED THE HOLE IT WAS IN AND KEPT ON GOING ALL THE WAY UP TO THE TOP, IF IT WAS A CLEAR DAY IT WOULD HAVE MADE A NEAT VIDEO CLIP  BUT IT WAS SIDEWAYS RAIN AND CLOUDY AS HELL SO :x .

WILL HAVE TO TAKE YOU UP THERE AND SHOW YOU HOW TO DO IT  ... AFTER I FIX MY STEERING THAT IS

The poor poor cruiser.
Im still impressed. It's being forced to move a seriouse quantity of chunky rubber.

I tell ya, it was so much more fun slipping, sliding, drifting and burning excessive quanities of diesel going about 1mm per hour in 4th L4 at 4000rpm on the mighty maxxis mudders in the clay.
Thats what i tell my self.
I DON"T NEED COMPETITION TYRES :? :? :? :?

If only i had have taken my camera.

Though, it wouldn't have been much use, rural dial up is so slooooow, i wouldn't have wasted my time trying to up load photo's, and trying to get a turn on the PC round this place. Arrrrg.

Still. My Mum does do my washing..........................

you talkin about up by the quarry
?
yea thats the place just above the quarry between there and the forestry
if you continue up the road and turn in just before the gates, thats the start , along the creek bed for about 1k back towards the quarry then into the scrub then up then down then up then .... well you know the rest. If you can get a copy of the 2003 or 2004 Dennys winch then you will have a better idea. This is a private block of land (NO GREENIES) it cost $20 per vehical which is well worth it.
where is Mangapiko ???
also could show you some interesting tracks in Mumaku but dont tell anyone Shhhhhh!!!

as soon as i get the cruiser fixed we should go for a look :D pretty close to home for me and pete :D and he will neeeeed to give the new tyres a work out by then

i think the tracks i was looking at in the back of mangapiko might be just walking tracks, not to sure. will do some research on it and get back to ya when i know more.
