Ryan, are you using 91 or 95 (or 6 or whatever...I don't use that stuff at the moment), mate found that he gets more K on the higher octane...don't use 91 on it though...

You call that expensive :?: :!: That's cheap! Try $123 to fill up (from dead empty that is - and that was a week ago... prices have gone up since then) and getting about 350-400kms out of a tank!

Then you chuck a 2.5 ton boat on the back and you are lucky to scrape up 300kms out of it.

I exagerate not. And for those of you that don't know, I am talking about a LWB Safari with a 4.2l straight 6 petrol. As you can imagine, it's not a daily runabout...

I can go a little bit better than that at $142 a fill and just manage 400kms per tank for long distance highway driving :D

 V8's and fuel consumption huh. Can i chip in??

My partners old man has a Ford GTP, ya know, the 290kw beast. Well, it went out of warranty a few months ago, so he went and got some work done to it. Dyno'd at 347kw.

He took me for a spin, and its got one of those instant fuel usage meter thingys in it (prolly so you can keep fuel usage to a minimum  )

Anyways, here we were, roaring along and he said have a look at the fuel meter..........................................

It was happily sitting at its max reading of 99.9 Litres of fuel being used per one kilometer. The gauge won't go any higher, but imagine if it did, would love to have know exactly how far i would have had to walk home if he had kept his foot up it

Now thats fuel consumption

It does have the power to go with it though

lol yeah my skline makes 340rwkws and it uses alot of fuel
it has no closed loop ego sensor either so it runs rich while cruising and idleing

dont spend alot of time cruising tho its either heavy breaking or heavy acceleration
