shiny surf with attitude?

Post by migga »

Hi there all I gota Ln130 with a v8 in it, 5 litre holden.
Every thing else on it is standard so Im wondering what do you all recon about the factory driveline, in terms of strength off-road and what would be the first thing to upgrade?

Hmm, my money would be on the CV's, then diffs in close second

Take it out and put it through its paces, see what happens perhaps.

I would say if you give it some stick off road you might pop the front diff, or possibly the front CV's :(.... seen one down here with the lexus V8 and he eats front diffs and CV's

Rear end should be fine, the 8" diff is pretty tough, and if you have the R series box in it that should hold up to. Check the model plate under the bonnet, you should hope to find R150 or R151 for the gearbox/trans. Otherwise its the W56 or G52 which will last a while but eventually give up !

Give it heaps ( stuff a solid axle under it after your sick of trashing the old front end )
