Hi Guys,
I am looking to purchase a nissan safari LWB and have found some potentials but i need an advise . I found that thet are more td42 non turbos and they are cheaper but I am not sure if its a better buy ? how much does it cost to convert to a standard turbo no intercooling , and is it worthwhile doing ? i am planing to drive around the country and get offroad occasionaly,i also will be towing a trailer.will appriciate help and sorry if this have been posted before.

Why diesel? td42 (diesel) has alot less power and torque than a tb42(petrol). Yes, you can go and bang an aftermarket turbo on there, but you will only be getting slightly more power than a tb. Throw a turbo on the tb and you will get about 200rwhp, I have heard that with tuning and intercooler etc, you can get 400rwhp

Could be a price thing rather than a power thing?
Although I'd love the extra power, I couldn't afford to run a petrol

With a decent turbo kit and tune, you will get all the towing performance out of the TD42 you need. Plus, you're only paying 2/3 the fuel price of a petrol.
