Electrical Fault
I have 1985 70 series swb Landcruiser with a 3b engine. I was out four wheel driving and ripped the trailer electrics off near the tow bar. I wasnt thinking and taped all the electrics for the trailer together. Kept blowing fuses. Fixed the trailer fitting and now my indicators and brake lights wont work. Everything else functions fine. I have checked all the fuses and dont know what to do now. Any suggestions? Cheers.
When you say you fixed the trailer fitting how did you put it back together?
Suspicious that neither the brakes or indicators work, could be blown bulbs but it's unlikely that you have blown all of them, worth checking though.
Once you have eliminated the bulbs I would remove the trailer plug and ensure that all the wires are not touching each other and then retest.
Do you have a multimeter or test light?

I stripped all the wires back then individually wrapped them up so they aren't touching. I checked the bulbs and they all are fine. My mate is coming round with a multimeter tomorrow. When I start the truck up there is no response at all from the indicators or the tail light. This was the same problem as earlier when I removed the tail lamp fuse when it blew. What shall I look at with the multimeter? Could I of blown a relay or is there more fuses apart from the fuse box?
Do the headlights still go? On your trailer connector you should have had brake, indicator, and tail lights. Check your head lights and your number plate light to see if they are still going.
It's unlikely that your tail lights have a relay, they are low current. The indicators won't have one either but they will have a flasher unit which might have got damaged.
With the multimeter start at the lights and work your way back until you find voltage ie put the headlights on and work back from the rear lights until you have power then you will know where the fault lies.

I had the same problem in my surf - snapped the trailer coupling plug and i would lose the brake lights and indicators at times. I also blew a fuel pump relay and headlight relay (at about $80 each for new ones from toyota 
) took into toyota here in queenstown and they fixed the problem for $45. Dont know exactly what the problem was but it was a cheap fix
