block sleave movement

Post by Athalus78 »

I have just taken the heads off of the p76 to get them worked and noticed that on number 7 piston the sleave is sitting about 1-2mm high than the block. Any chance I can belt it back down with a big hammer or is it a $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ problem. The block has been bored out to 5.0 using 4.6 pistons and sleaves so I'm hoping that I don't need to resleave the whole lot.

Found that a big hammer and a piece of jarrah moved it back down enough so it is lower than the head gasket so it's all good. :D
