Anyone have some spare 75 x 50 RHS lying around in the Wellington area?
Am after 2 pieces minimum 1700mm in length (or 1 piece @ 3400mm :wink: )

Sure am.
Have been wanting to do it for a long time but today I smashed the plastic ones to bits and dented the bottom of one of the doors. So that's bumped the project up a couple of notches again in the list of things to do.

Are you going to weld them to the frame or bolt them?

Bolt them to the original holes. The plastic ones were held on with some plastic rivits. I'll put nutserts into those holes and bolt these on. There's only about 20 holes on each side
Piece of cake, will allow me to high lift jack of there as well then. Might even get crafty and use them as airtanks.

Ah so the factory rails go to the chassis, nice. The Surf ones go to the body....

Disco ones bolt to the body as well, but it is all pretty solid. No problems connecting them there.
