Air shocks

Post by oldblue »

Would Munro air shocks that were meant for an early Valiant Pre70s (leaf springs) work when fitted to a Prado rear ? Changing the end ring for a pin is no big issue
Have been useing air bags but cant stop them from leaking at the inlet fitting where the air tube enters the bag.
So it's time for a differant system.

are you using festo tubing at bag inlet end?? i had similar problems but its usually due to being dirty or having the fitting under tension..

The tube is a blue nylon type and it was bending on exiting the bags, so i fitted 90 degree elbows , but it still leaks :( :(

KEV, make sure your fittings and tubing are of the same size.---- Have been caught out with suppliers suppling 6mm for 1/4" and 1/4" for 6mm, and while they are very close you will have a leak every time. Had this problem on my ARB diff air lines.
