2F Starter motor smoking

Hozit.
I'm trying to start my fj40 but the starter motor turns the enjine but the bolt on it glows red and it smells like somethings burning? Has anyone has the same problems?

sounds like you have ,,,, wait for it...

you guessed it, starter trouble ! !.... but you allready knew that.

get it rebuilt and seal it up so it cant get water in it. costs a bit but will last for many years

ohh actually, check the earth lead to engine as well, could be an earthing fault :wink:

I thought it migt be the earth lead, will look tomorrow. I drained the radiator and think some of the water might have spilt on it! Dam! How much to get it fixed, I see yours shat it self a while ago. I love your cruiser man! I worked on the truck yesterday, and found some acid holes in my shirt! don't know where tat came from!?!
