hi i'm new here and have a few questions. i have a hilux double cab that i have put a lexus v8 and w55 gearbox into, also has supercharger from v6 commodore and motec management. i have just bought a rusty but savable hj45 with the original "H" diesel that is tired gutless and yukky. i want to repower it with a chev as opposed to the lexus due to the cost. what sort of gearbox will be behind the diesel? as i want to buy a bellhousing to suit from crs or similiar. also are the wellsides that you see on the U.S.A h/fj45's available here? they look so much cooler than the flat deck. thanks, regards Doon.a

though (i joined this forum for the landcruiser.) its a 99 sr5 with 04 front, 19" wheels, wilwood brakes & calipers on owner made adaptors 355mm fr, 325rr, eaton m90 super charger from v6 buick on owner made manifold, owner made bellhousing and flywheel, mr2 turbo clutch & pressure plate, w55 gearbox and tilton release bearing, motec m48 pro management system, owner made headers and engine mounts. am using standard diff for now with top arms and watts linkage from ea falcon have used rear hats and hand brake assembly from toyota windom. not quite on the road yet but very close, hope to have 450+ horse with 6.5" pulley on crank. will help anyone i can with info on this conversion as other than the diff will be much the same as 4wd.
