Got keys to new house friday, so started ripping up carpets and prepping the floor boards for sanding... and started cleaning out the gutters....
On friday night, got the oil pressure gauge working... (die grinders are wonderful), Rancho's finally came back correct (third time lucky I suppose) so fitted those... forgot to get new plugs so will be in the workshop monday doing plugs/leads/dizzy cap... then ready for the coast ....woohooo....

it wasn´t quite this weekend on wednesday after work i removed my rear wheel cylinders and master cylinder to get them all rebuilt. i can´t see the point of doing them one at a time. But i think one of the previous owners wasn´t worried about it because it looks as if one of the wheel cylinders has been rebuilt before.I would rather get them both done and then i know they are both good and since i had both the wheel cylinders out i thought may as well do the master cylinder as well just to be sure.So on thursday after i got sent home from work too wet i dropped them all off at apec brake and clutch in Hamilton.A workmate of mine put me on to them i went to them incase the cylinders needed to be resleeved.
also on thursday got the rear muffler replaced on my car and took that in to get a warrant.

Tidy job, buddy.
Suggest ducting the air to fan for the I/C to exclude engine bay air.
Ok, this will raise a small storm in the forum, cos it will have no effect unless you are travelling SLOW!! At road speed, enuff air is passing thru the I/C and over it to keep all sweet.

Did a lot of hard thinking today and after thinking about how offroadexpress will be 5 years old on december the 6th this year and how 5 years is a long time for a website, I've finally decided to call it quits with this site. (no this is not an april fools joke, its bad luck to do that after midday anyway)

oops forgot to mention that I'll be replacing it with a new modern version
so the rest of the day was spent designing the new site. Decided to release it gradually till december with the main launch on the 6th of december. Its going to bigger than ever and even encompass youtube style videos in posts if you want. I decided rather than impliment new things on the old technology I would rebuild from scratch giving offroadexpress at least another 5 years.

Had a crap weekend trying to recover from the shock of stuffed bushes on the Cruiser.
Wondered why it wallowed all over the road
- and NO - it's not 'cos its a Toyota
Put it up on the hoist and poked and prodded/pushed and pulled with the pry bar and found all but 2 sets of bushes underneath the old whale are stuffed - or close enough to falling apart.
That was shock #1
Shock #2 was finding only 2-3mm left on a set of brake pads. Only changed them 16k ago
Shock#3 and the worse one - finding out the price of OEM bushes from Toyota - most aren't in stock but are ex-Japan. $1600 couldn't believe it
:puker:
I just about fell off the desk I was perched on.
Anyway....a very handy chap in Ch-Ch by the name of Rick (4WD Accessories) has given a FAR FAR better price.
So just trying to figure which bank to rob, before supporting those that support the ORE Group.
What a boring weekend.
Looking forward to next weekend. At least stuffed bushes let the artic move about a bit easier
Just becomes a bucket of crap while driving/wallowing on the open road.
