warlord225 wrote:is hat when you broke his handbrake?

No, that was when cloggy got stuck in that really big bog that took awhile to get him out of. Jerry went to go and try tow him out, but me and james took off to try and steal his hatsu before he got there. Unfortunately he started taking the keys and so James had the bright idea and said "lets push it out of the way. So I took the handbrake off with the rule "as much as neccesery, as little as possible". As we started pushing it away, Jerry in his wild rush of adrenaline and rage, must have run past us so fast and tried to pull teh handbrake on that we didnt notice. He then ran back really quickly so we didnt see him. Thats when I saw him grab and moleste James.

Jerry was coming one way, and the daihatsu, the other way. Its just something that ill never understand.

Mate you made that look effortless.... you'll have to show me how the hell you did it one day

I could only stay till lunchtime coz I had to go and pickup Mrs Husain in town but enjoyed the morning getting my 2 ton cruiser through the bogs that seemed to stop so many 8)

look forward to your next trip warlord

Dear jerry...

Post by Bubba »

I understand what you are saying about the hooks but a couple of things spring to mind.

1. It wasn't the hook or the bolts by the look of it. A rated hook would have done the same thing wouldn't it???

2. When I want to go on a trip, I come on to this site and ask if any of my mates, their mates or anybody else wants to come. Nobody will dictate to me who I can invite or who I can't. If they do then I am on the wrong site.

3. However I reserve the right not to pull anybody out of the shit if they don't have the right gear (It not really a huge issue for me as I drive a Zuk). I also respect the right for any other driver not to put his or her vehicle or self in harms way. If that means leaving somebody in the mud, so be it.

4. I'm bloody glad nobody was hurt, Marty's a bloody good bloke and if somebody got hurt or worse it would fck a lot of things up.

5. Nobody, NOBODY will tell me what I can or can't do on this site, thats why I'm here, with some exceptions (free speach!!). If the trip organiser tells me what I have to do then I will respect that but everyone else....

6. Enough ranting from me I feel

It was Saddam Hussain, not Marty. :)

I don't think anybody is necessarily trying to TELL anybody to do anything, just to say that anyone on a trip should be aware that if they don't have the right recovery gear, they may not be recovered!

But you have good points Bubba, no one should feel that they are being told what to do. Just don't take any of it personally I think they are just trying to sort out what can be done to make sure everyone stays as safe as possible.

Just think of skinny girls with big fake titties.....you'll be right!

Marty and Sadam are the same person!

Everyone apart those new to the hobby should know what needs to be done. It good to sort out, not so good to dictate to me, I will pull my bandana round my head and get my c4 tipped hunting bow :rambo:

Skinny girls with big titties mmmmmmmmm I think of little else, but thanks for putting me in my happy place

A lot of what seem to be duplicates but I had the camera set to take 5 shots a second at times to try and record people picking up wheels etc. Not always succesful.

Great pictures Cloggy.
I really liked the multiple shots. You can really see the movement when flicking through them.

Cheers

Yes there are a few of your Vitara there Graeme.
I must say I was very impressed with the way it performed. Certainly surprised me a few times with the ease it seemed to take obstacles.

Black Vitara. Sorry, I don't know your name. But full marks to you for giving this a go. Your Vitara looked mint early in the morning. By mid-afternoon it was pretty muddy and surely must be showing a couple of battle scars now.

Great vids Cloggy. Vids really are the best aren't they...

I can see the main reason I couldn't get up there now... the arse end was just dragging and lifting my back wheels off the ground. Body lift next week (after Easter) and then I can remove the rear bumper and bars and put a smaller solid bar on the back.

What are you doing laughing at me when it jumped to the left the first time by the way?? You should have been concentrating and getting a video of my U turn in the middle of the bog!

OK I have put up a post about the next Aotea trip

http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/modules ... 4517#54517

Idea is to run some training on recoveries and safety etc, bring your truck and get your towhooks checked, BBQ lunch, we will run some hazards in the afternoon.

Rated towhooks ARE required if you go into the hazards
