Hi there! I am Paul, 33 years old, and am from the Philippines. I grow sugarcane for a living and stay in the farm. I have the motorpool at my disposal and a lot of time as well.

Here are my 4x4's and their pictures:

1983 Hilux with Nissan RD-28 6 cylinder diesel, twin radiators (the other one is under the bed, on top of the muffler in the photo), 2 inch lift, 33 BFT AT's on 15x10 Mickey II wheels

1990 Hilux 2.8 Diesel with 2.4 2LT-E Turbo, factory rear Diff-Lock, front Detriot True-trac LSD, Super axles, 5 inch Skyjacker springs, 2 inch Downey Shackles, 35 inch Cooper Discoverer STT's on 15 x 10 AR Outlaw II wheels

1994 Landcruiser 1HD-T 4.2 Diesel, factory front and rear Diff-locks, Factory winch, OME 2inch Coils, RS9000 shocks, 305/70-16 Dick Cepeks on 16x8 AR Wheels, TJM bullbar

1954 M38A1 all original and 1952 M38 with Dana 30/Dana 44, Lock-rights, 33 inch Mudzilla's

I have done my fair share of wrenching and a lot of trial and error as well. I love the sea and usually go jetskiing as well as speedboating.

They are all off-roaders.

The blue truck just got a make over for a few car shows, but its now back to its daily duties.

I will post some more pictures later.

I was just thinking you've got as many trucks as me ..... just yours are all going and look alot better :lol:

you got some more details on the 83 curious about the cooling is the second radiator inline with the front, you running extra water pump.. did you have a cooling issue before and how big a differance did the second radiator make

Yes, the RD-28 diesel couldnt keep its cool at any speed with the A/C on, using the Toyota L 2.2Diesel's radiator. I couldnt change to a bigger radiator as the straight-6 diesel is a tight fit in the engine compartment. I had to move my firewall 4 inches back and couldnt do anymore as I didnt want to change the interior configuration.

What I did was this:
1. Seal the filler hole on the second (under) radiator and install it at the bottom, wiring the electric fan with the ignition, so it is constantly on when the ignition is on.

2. Run the original (front) radiator's bottom outlet to the inlet of the second radiator located on the underside. This will make the water naturally flow to the bottom radiator and fill it up without a need for any pumps, bleeding, or watsoever.

3. Run the outlet hose of the underside radiator to the inlet side of the engine.

4. Fill the front radiator up, checking to see that water is flowing to the bottom radiator and back to the engine.

5. Start the engine and warm it up to open the thermostat, and continue adding water till you no longer have air in the system. Make sure the water is circulating.

Thats about it.

It lowered my temperature considerably, as I used to be at the 100 C mark. With this setup, I maintain 80 C, and this will stay this way even if you let it idle all day with the A/C on. The truck now holds 10 liters of water, running on 5 liters distilled water and 5 liters Shell coolant.

As to damage, so far I dont have damage. I installed a wire screen on the topside of the underside radiator, and it is shielded by the muffler from the bottom. Another thing, it sits level to the chassis so its rather high of the ground.
