R50 aftermarket suppliers??

Post by SKR »

Ok, I'm just being green and lazy; but checking out all the US Nissan Terrano/Pathfinder sites suggests their is aftermarket availability, if you've got a importing license or whatever!!!

So who in NZ sells the stuff  ??? Asides from making your own, which their obviously seems to be a fair/healthy amount of mods going on.

Cheers Shannon

OK, these guys are still testing, but I think I'll wait to get a body lift from them as no-one else is producing a 4" body lift for a R50.

I've got a Terrano 96' R3m, I understand there's SFA made for them. ARB has a most products, I can get a 2" lift kit from aussie for about $1800.
I'm a complete muppet when it comes to auto mechanics, so I can't install it. What would you charge and what would you supply or would there be part I could purchase???
Have you lifted my model of vehicle before???

You got me interested.

??????WTF??????

The R50 Pathfinder is of unibody construction. It does not have a seperate body and seperate chassis. Therefore, you can't do a body lift.

The best you can hope for is a 2" suspension lift.

Why??

Because thats all you can get out of the IFS before it runs out of travel

I really just want height, don't really care how, though I do care how much.
I understand that there is limitations on the height, so are these companies full of shit or what???
IFS, sorry you have to take the time to explain that to me and could explain this to me as well

I'm not trying to be a smartarse I would just like to understand why I have heard that you can't raise a R50 but these fulla's in the states have.

Also what's the difference between a body lift and a subframe lift/drop???

Cheers

The NX4 Industries guys have just quoted me $5-600 canadian dollars which is about $680 nzd without shipping.
What would the installation likely to cost, as I'm a f*ckin gumby  no way I could do it.

Ive got a 2 inch lift kit on my R-50, could be convinced to take it off and install it on your truck if you threw your stando springs in on the deal

Yes well thats a fair question , but i finding myself doing lots and lots of highway miles now and although the new springs handle pretty good the extra tyre on the rims (larger) give it a bit much body roll.

I want to go back to some lower profile road tyre but the it looks gumby as with the increased height and small wheels.

also economy has suffered

cheers
