It's being held out at Happy Valley, on Easter Sunday.
I think it's part of the National series.so should be worth going to.

Hi Kev, no I won't be at the Trial.

It's a bit more than a Mud Plug, It's a round of the NZFWD championships and I could stand corrected but I think it could be the Finals, any way all the top vehicles from all over NZ will be there,------ same as we see on TV3 Sunday on Suzuki Xtrem 4X4.
Wayne & Ammie Nichol from CHCH are organising and running the event that is to be held at Cable Bay,--- Happy Valley Adventures grounds. on 8th April 2007 (easter sunday ). Spectators welcome.
Ammie is also looking for Marshalls for the event, you will be required for 2hrs on Saturday morning to go over the stage you will be marshalling on and then from 0800 ------ 1630hr on Sunday.
Give Ammie a call :- 033120087 or 0275944087

FITZY.

Thats getting flash now isn't it Jerry
Know of any golf courses around? Cut the flags in half, put rubber joiner in, connected to steel shaft

What is the shaft material made of?...and more importantly where can I get my sticky hands on it.....I have heard that the steel bit is a bit of a hazard for tyres...

We made some a few years ago which were fibreglass shaft, not sure what the Nelson ones were made of though.

We didnt really have a problem with the steel damaging tyres as the rubber "joiner" was fairly thick rubber to allow the flags to stand back up once hit, so the steel never got exposed.

Farm electric fence fibreglass rods would probably be the best option. I imagine that they wouldn't be too expensive. This sort of thing: http://www.prepul.co.nz/

You could probably get some through Wrightsons in Porirua or I could get a mate with a Farmlands card to arrange some from Farmlands in Levin.
