well im gonna start early since i had today off to make my easter weekend a 6 day one
did a clean out of the garage and took a load of rubbish to the dump so now i can see some of the floor again,bought a HT lead set and new exhaust manifold gaskets for the chev, drilled the pilot holes in the chassis for the steering box placement,bought some bait to throw in the water up coromandel tomorrow and saturday,found some of my fishing gear to take for a drive...... ohh and started thinking about dropping the engine into the truck....will be when i get home sunday i think......or should i finish the steering and brake upgrades first...Oooohhhh tough descision.... better do the brakes and steering, be easier while the engines out

got my master cylinder and wheel cylinders back today i´ĺl try fit them tomorrow
my 4wd is not a truck
old mercedes never die but sometimes they do need some love
older cars are good,mercedes are better,older mercedes are the best

Well, the count down is over for DB and I, we leave for he south island at 3.30am tomorrow!!!! YAY
South island for 3 weeks it is going to be awesome......

friday.. sleep. pack gear for week away.
sat..sleep. make sure i got everything packed.
sunday.. fly to auckland to work for a week and pack up last of my stuff into the jeep. hook on the BUG and drive them both back to dunedin.. then swap vehicles in dunedin and drive to Te Anau for 7 days work.
thats the next 3 weeks planned! saves on posts...
Dont follow me. i'll get stuck and need a tow..

Friday = M-biking while dreaming about 4 wheels and a v8.
Saturday - morning = working on the surf (yes really! ). Afternoon = keg party
Sunday = recovery from saturday / Try to tune LR.
Monday = Still trying to tune LR - Run up worsleys in it.

well anyways i lost ma licence for 28 days so there goes ma weekend and the next few. oh well only 27 days left

So far - Thurs - Schools out and my steering stuff arrived from de-ranged (thanks mate).
Fri - Listed the VK project on trademe (wanna buy it
) and unbolted all the tub etc so we can make it a flat deck tommorow

Got the transfer case and gearbox out. What a shit job! (Especially seeing that it doesnt have a divorced Tcase)

oh yeah went to my parents and while i was there had a closer look at the turboed motor i am going to swap into my g wagen at some stage i found the cause of the loss of power the previous owner had and he was right it is a bent valve so i have to get a price on a head gasket set and a valve then i might be able to do something about the swap

i went down to the queenstown area with some mates for the roar. done a bit of 4wding to and alot more beer drinking
shot my first stag and got a nice hind for the frezzer. one hell of climb up the hill. saw five hinds with this stag and spotted many many more.
