Spare Wheel Mount Question?

I would like to mount the spare wheel of my 2001 Toyota Landcruiser (HZJ78R; long-wheel base with high roof/bench seating rear layout and split-back doors) on the back of the vehicle. I am receiving a great deal of conflicting advice as to the best way to do this.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received?
