Welly Anzac Day Fundraiser Terawhiti Ramble

Post by Jerry »

Still confirming access but here are the proposed trip details...

- Meeting time and point TBA
- Rated Towhooks ARE required for the optional harder bits (They WILL be checked...non compliant hooks will have a bright coloured cable tie round them)
- There will be a very quick drivers briefing (we need to ensure we do these on trips)
- RSA Donation $20 minimum
- Land Access fees $TBA
- BYO food and Drink, I may bring my small portable BBQ if there is interest
- Fire Extingisher, First Aid Kit and Shovel required (relaxed for newbies)

Trip will suit shiny and up vehicles, family friendly trip, scenic bits + optional bogs, some of these are new area's you may not have been in. Cloggy ....bring your GPS so you can map it.

Long range forecast looks fineish

An indication on numbers would be cool

The Hillbillys down south reckon they can raise more $$$ than us so lets show them we can beat them  as well as the Jaffa's who haven't even mentioned organising anything yet

Can't see me being there either. I will be doing the traditional ANZAC day thing, sleeping in then drinking myself into a coma

I can do either one Jerry, lead or be tail-end if no one else puts their hand up.
Hell, if it is just the two of us I could possibly do both as the Land Rover will no doubt run cirles around the Prado

Bit too early to say at this stage, but judging by the amount of fun my partner had at the last outing I don't think she will want to miss out on another trip.
However, will keep you in mind, hoping to drag my mate Glen along as well (if he is allowed, wife's quite bossy) and he may be happy for a passenger in his Disco.

OK I've just heard back and we have access......so the trip is on, I have got a trip route sorted...there will be shiny tracks, kids play area's, mud holes, a nice rutted track that we can lose a landrover or 3 in. I want to go into into the gold fields area in there but I think we should run that as the next trip. we will be pressed for time as it is.

Seems like theres is interest in a mud fight......do we need to establise any ground rules for that?
