You better take the carpet out because we will be sending you into the deepest nastiest bogs there is. The plus side is that we will send you into the river so you can clean it out aswell

Take the snorkel off the hatsu, remove $3000 from the listed price, and I will buy it
A couple of years ago the army was testing the hummer in there. They managed to find a mudhole that the hummer sank in up to its windscreen. This could be a good hole to find for someone to play in.

A short video of a South Islander (who might be on this forum) having a go at the left bog, not being able to get through and then skirting the right bog. This was a Hilux on 35's, Supra motor, all the gears. A very nice truck.
Sure was, awesome place so close to home. It is so close to the top of the Wainui Hill road you can see the lamp posts on the side of the road. But from the road you just can't see it (unless you climbed the lamp posts). It was just one big swamp covered in Manuka. The kind of place where you really need at least 4 vehicles as at times 3 of them could be stuck trying to recover each other. Have had to walk out to get another 4x4 when all other vehicles where stuck up to the door handles. Great fun

who is checking the trucks before this trip?? my problem is i wont be able to get hooks mounted by then aqnd i want to know if recovery from the
front or rear x-members is ok?? this link shows my zuk with the bumpers off it and the x-member that im on about....thanks for any help....
Have a chat to Stinky......do you have a rear towbar? or the mounts for it? what were your thoughts for the front? the problem with the 410/413 is that most of the chassis is less than 3ml thick so you need something custom....otherwise PM redzuki..how has he done his hooks?
Besides.....you will need hooks when you will need to tow me in the prado when it gets horribly stuck
70 series prado (KZJ78) and 90 Series Prado (KZJ95)
yeah would be plenty of time if i wasnt moving and if it was legal to drive on the road.....no towbar...i need to fabricate front and rear bars with hook mounts....why couldnt i loop around the cross members?
cheers tu....its not heavy anyway....but i want to here that its ok from whoever is organising this trip because i have to sort a trailer to bring it.....dont want to turn up and get told i cant go because no hooks....

the panelbeater is only fixing the rust i told him not to bother bogging it up as i will probably dent it sometime but then again it is built like a tank and takes a bit to dent it
my 4wd is not a truck

I am sure we'll find a way of getting it recovered safely. We'll tie a strop around the diff before you get stuck. Only so you won't have to lie in the mud on your tummy to do this once you are stuck.
But best thing is to get some hooks sorted. It is only really a couple of hours work on an afternoon to put hooks on.
If you need a car trailer that can be sorted too. I have got one.
