FJ40 Body tub

Hozit. Is it possible to get a tub made out of sheet metal or someting? It doesn't have to look like a Fj40 anymore, well not exactly the same. Does anyone know of place that might be able to make something. My tun is all f@cked up

it would work out a fraction of the cost to go and find a parts truck with a good or salvagable tub and swap all the good bits over

.... and you'll be left with lots of spare parts to stash in the shed or sell off

where abouts are you fj40 boy? , i have a tub and chassis at work, not to sure how rusty but can look in morning cheers vaughan

depends on what rusted on your one could just cut and weld parts from another body

Nah, that tub is rusted in all the classic Cruiser rust spots.

Better to look for an FJ45 like we talked about B4.

yeah just got back, might be going back though next week.
I just wanna get my cruiser running.
i dunno too much about the 45 idea anymore as i quite like to be able to take more people in the back if i have to and waterproof gear and the like. might just have to fork out for a nice new tub from 4wdfiberglass.com or buy a good 40 and just change suspension and a few other things. ooh decisions. but am still lookin for just a tub if anyone got one

and the 45's are no less rusty than the 40's.... trust me :wink:

there is two pretty complete 40s i have found by turangi i know the old dude that owns them both were diesels one is complete missing the head and manifold and stuff other is just body and running gear i will get some photos when there next.
