1990 Suzuki Escudo Rims/Tyres And Body Lift

Post by Jooce »

Hey guys

Im still looking for some rims and tyres and a body lift for my escudo. Ive been told that 30/9.5/r15 is the biggest that will fit without the lift. but i wana get a lift anyway. Can anyone here suggest a place to get this done as i know nothing about doing things myself and would rather just pay a pro to do it for me. any idea of the cost ?? anyone here have an escudo that could give me some pointers on what to do to make it a capable off road truck ? Also is there any cool places to go off road in chch or near chch? ive been to the waimak a few times but i want somewhere with mud! lol i was suprised what my escudo could do stock standard!! the fun i could have with a bit of mods.

Thanks for your time guys

See the guys at 4wd accessories in Montreal St for your mods.
As for places to go down there, the local lads will point you in the right direction. Keep an eye out for Al's training day too, well worth it.

Albundy from on here runs a training day, where you are shown basic do's and don'ts, and all important recovery techniques.
Will also give tips/advice on vehicle setup with regard to equipment/spares to carry, followed by a trip.

Well worth going, as there is a lot that can be learnt. I think the date for the next one is yet to be set

dont put big wheels on it , i use samurai wheels and 30 9.5 15 tyres and that way the wheels can go inside guards when it flexes, if you put white spokeys on it they rub , look in spankys pics for more. cheers

Hi Jooce,

imo the best thing you can do is get hold of the chch suzuki club - we meet 2nd thursday of every month at the RSA in gloucester st, 7:30. There is a training day scheduled for july, and going on a couple of trips is a great way to get to know what it's all about. Very friendly club and a great source of info for tweeking your truck etc. $2k to drop on what you want to do is a lot of $$ - talk to the guys and they will be able to point you in the right direction - someone would heva been down this track before and can save you a lot of leg work.

cheers,
