When using Worsleys Road up past the middle gate on the way up the fence on the right had side (as you go up) has now been totally removed and people are deviating off the road boundary and going over there to miss the rather interesting part of the road.

About two years ago we had a working bee up there and tried to fix the fence, and maybe we need to do that again. Have a look when you are up there and see what you think maybe we could get a few folks together to get the fence back into place for once winter sets in you will see what will happen, there will be a new track formed, and it could get to be an issue for us all.

I was up there last week and you are right when it gets wet the track will be interesting.
Regrettably I am away this weekend otherwise I would have been keen to come along.
Cheers
Paul

The fence is completely gone. I was up there on sunday mbiking and thought the same. Also I've seen a bunch of idiots (not form this forum that i know of) winching off fence posts and breaking/ripping them right out. I was only mbiking so didnt have my steel caps on to back my frustrations up with.

I'm up for installing some winching points. I have some huge bits of steel we can use. High tensile bits

Mike

I can do saturday now!!!!!!!!!!!!! so will post up a thread to see how much interest there is.

Mike

Give me a wee while and I will see if I can get some ground stays (anchors) from work that will be more than adequate.
These units are a 6 foot steel rod with an eye on the end, the other end is threaded and is passed through a wooden block (power pole) and buried as deep as the rod in a verticall hole. You wont pull them out or break them.
We use these for angle and end of line stays on the power system.
I know there are some used ones around that are still in as new condition so will ask tomorrow.

You will just need someone experienced in the use of a shovel to bury them and no, dont look at me, i've done my time on the end of one of these.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.
