Nissan Safari - Wrecking

Post by GQTROL »

Have a 1988 Nissan Safari SWB that I'm wrecking out due to failing WOF from rust in body. Is TD42 engine with auto, poo brown interior etc.

Keeping engine, diffs, indicators, grill etc for myself but everything else can go.

Front guards - LH v. good cond except for minor crease up by front indicator. RH straight, but bit of rust up by bonnet hinge. $75 each.
Bonnet - good cond. $75.
Doors - Manual window, westcoaster style mirrors. good cond. $75 each.
Full interior - drivers seat pretty tatty though.
Front bar - alloy jobbie
Glass - windscreen and side windows.
Fuel tank - 95L
Lots of other crap that I can't think of.

Have another one turning up soon, so need to get rid of it. Don't have access to Net like I used to, so best to call A/H on 027 392 1296.

Cheers

Oh yeah, sorry I forgot the important stuff. Am back in Auckland now, bout 30mins north of the bridge.

The truck failed its WOF due to the excessive rust in the rear window frames...they're well buggered!

Hi Vince,
Speedo doesn't work unfortunately (rev counter, voltage, oil press. etc all fine though). Solder circuit on back has a few cracks across it. Will see what this other one is like when it turns up.

G'day Dave,
Yup, have both rear indicators from this other one that turned up on Sunday.

Not sure on price as I'm not sure of their condition. Will pull them off tonight and come back to you.

Yup, sure do. What colour interior is it? Poo brown or grey? I've got one of each truck so should have it covered, just need to check on their condition first.

LWB or SWB? The grey one is from LWB, while the brown one is from SWB. They are different as the SWB goes into a recess in the B-pillar, but the LWB doesn't.

If its a shorty you've got, you may have to make do with a brown one.

Sorry, tie rod is staying with the diff and going to a new home.

Individual tie rod ends are available from Nissan. Use the female ones for a ute and a length of 4140 threaded accordingly. I've posted the part numbers here previously.
