Pete's Paradise 4x4 trip 6.5.07

Post by brianr70 »

A good day was had by all I am sure :D

had 5 trucks
Brian
Nathan
Sam
Jason + 1 from Taupo

what a great place to have some fun, 300 acres of tracks varying from easy [ that suits me] to hard yakka.

you could play there all day and not cover all the tracks.

I managed to get stuck, but thanks to Nathan managed to get out of trouble :D

Tracks were quite dry, but did find the odd bog hole to play in, ask Nathan about that :D

as this place potentially could not be available much longer, am keen to have another crack at it at some stage in the next 4/6 weeks.

So who's keen for round 2?????

hope to load some photos soon.
I travelled the road less travelled now where the heck am I!!!

I live 40 mins from vegas, and would be keen, however i havent got any bars on my new truck yet, and would be scared that i might dent something.

Is there quite a good chance of denting your vehicle on these tracks? If i had my bars on i wouldnt care so much, but without them i want to be a bit careful !!

hit it in 3rd gear low range.

Damage/list of things to fix:

Both front guards
Doors aren't shutting properly (looks like they are catching on the front guards)
Winch solenoids (killed them after winching myself and 2 other trucks in tow up a rather long hill)
Guages (stoped working)
Windscreen wiper switch which got ripped off, so i cant use them atm
handbrake
