Theres a full load adjustment screw on the pump.
I've got the TD27&T service manual, can pdf the page and sent it to you via PM if you like.
Looks easy in the book but trickey to find it on the pump itself!, have also been told 1/4 turn is sufficient.
Have yet to do it to mine, planning to do the exhaust and get a EGT in before I do it.
Cheers

more power more econmy have installed a K&N filter and removed the butterfly valve out of the intake manifold. Both these mods have made a small but noticeable improvement to power/economy. I also use the moreys diesel additive (since we went to low sulphur diesel) and believe it helps too... My best MPG so far on a road trip is 31mpg (5 people + luggage) Not too bad for an old diesel auto with A/C on occasionaly...

hi to all, i too have a td27t, but in my navara, when i first thort of more fuel and boost i already had the front apart so decided to find room for intercoolers then, 2 skyline intys front mounted, now im redy for more fuel and air as i already have 2 3/4'' exhaust, willy if it would be possible for a copy of the rite pages via pm it would b much apreciated

Whoa! i get about 16mpg (7km per Litre), assuming my math is vaguely correct. And my AC don't go! Is that shoddy, normal, or is 31mpg exceptional?

I too am keen to find out more about these - more power/less fuel mods!!!

in the nicest possible way, 16mpg is crap, id say 31mpg is prety good for any td27t thats had a life, my uncle owned 1 from 10000km, he reckond he got 33-34mpg untill the 50 thou then it improoved to around36, vehicle still in its 60's now and only ran std tire size. My td27t in my navara is an upgrade from the std non turb, unsure howmany kms on engine when i put it in but it has always given me around 29mpg with 33''s on, in saying this my uncle drives slower than my grandma, and i can never get where im going fast enuf, for the age, tire size diffrence and diffrent driving styles i dont thnk my results are unfair when comparing to new with training wheels.
disfordog, a clean fuel and air filters would b a good place to start with that sort of consumption, wouldnt put anymore fuel thru the pump till you find out where its goin, does it smoke much black?? if so mayby you already have more fuel goin in and just need the turb whistling sum bigger air pressure in there to use the fuel instead of chuckin it out the back, good luck.

I should add that before I had the injectors overhauled 26mpg was about the best I could manage...I find selecting "hold" on the auto trans helps with the economy too, as it kicks down less frequently. (If you are running bigger tyres than standard you will probably being doing more k's than what your odometer is telling you which will put your economy calculations out a little bit and you'll be going a little faster than your speedo says, that'll use a little extra fuel to...
