The housing that the 4wd vacuum diaphragm mounts to has a crack that is leaking at 30 second intervals cold. What would i need to weld it ?

This is the housing that the 4wd rod that comes out of the t-case goes into and the vacuum diaphragm bolts to. Could i use steel weld in a tube or the like?

just buy a 2nd hand one from a wrecker or off trademe , by the time you clean it & get someone to tig it up , still not as good as a good 2nd hand one & welded one looks shit if/when you go to sell vehicle - more hassle than its worth - my opinion .

grind the crack a bit , both sides, might concider drilling a small hole at the end of the crack to stop it cracking in the same spot
