Hi Jason. Welcome aboard. It looks as though you've got a nice setup there (even though it's a Toyota 
). The Wgtn clan are quite active with organising trips through the forums on a fairly regular basis. We have got a big trip coming up over Qeeens B'day weekend (2-4 June) in Rallywoods at Akatarawa. Here's a link to the thread if you haven't seen it:

On one of the days this is happening:
If you haven't already got rated towhooks that are 'suitably mounted' you will get harassed big time by the local towhook police (our man Jerry) before you would be allowed to go on that part of the trip. I can't quite see in your photo whether you already have them, but if you need them we can point you in the right direction for getting hold of some.
You may or may not be aware that ORE has two parts to it. The public forums is where general chit-chat, technical discussions, trip planning, etc occurs. There is also the ORE Association which has been formed to assist members with things like improved land access, insurance, training, trips, discounts (still being worked on) and other member benefits. If you have any questions about that side of it give me a bell as I am the Association rep for the Wellington area.

Well it looks as though you are happy to get it dirty, and already have some experience offroad, so that's a good start. Don't worry about the damage thing... we've been out on a few trips in the Whale now and this is about the most damage we've sustained so far (the steps getting bent up):

Does this mean I should be thinking about fitting flashing lights and installing a siren
